Have you ever wondered what it would be like to travel solo on an African safari to see the “Big Five” (Buffalo, Rhino, Elephant, Leopard and Lion) as well as many other African animals and birds? This is your opportunity to see and hear one person’s experience of such an excursion. Barbara Merolli will be sharing her adventures and photographs of safaris to the Mala Mala Game Reserve in South Africa and Mashatu Game Reserve in Botswana, with a side trip to Boulders Beach outside of Cape Town to see African penguins.
Barbara is the science librarian at the College of the Holy Cross where she has worked for the past 10 years. Formerly, she worked in various management positions at a large corporation for 30 years. Barbara has traveled internationally to Britain, Poland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Botswana and Uganda.
