Anne Frank: A History for Today

January 3 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

January 3 – 31, 2018

Millie and Martin Shapiro Community Room

“Anne Frank: A History for Today” was developed by the Anne Frank House and is sponsored in North America by the Anne Frank Center for Mutual Respect.

This exhibition presents the history of the Holocaust through the perspective of Anne Frank and her family.  Juxtaposing photographs of the Frank family with historical images, the exhibit shows how persecuted people such as the Franks were affected by the political actions of individuals. This exhibit is made possible by a grant from Chelsea Groton Bank and a gift from The Friends of Otis Library. “Anne Frank: A History for Today” is in English and Spanish.

An opening reception will be held on Wednesday, January 3, at 6pm, with live music and refreshments. Members of Klezmenschen of Eastern Connecticut, led by Roz Etra on accordion and keyboard, will provide musical accompaniment to Anne Frank’s story.
