Bev York Discusses Early American Death and Burial Customs

November 10 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Bev York presents a program on the exploration of early American customs and beliefs surrounding death and mourning along with the artistry and symbolism of early New England gravestones – colonial America’s first form of sculpture.  Bev present programs on topics of local, Connecticut, and American history. Her lecture style includes interactive and visual approaches using artifacts and primary source materials to enhance the educational and entertaining experience. York serves as the part-time educator at the Windham Textile & History Museum, or “The Mill Museum” in Willimantic.

Free and open to the public – everyone is cordially invited.
