Pen Turning with the Central CT Woodturners

April 2 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Whether you’re an experienced woodworker or using a lathe for the first time, this FREE event is sure to be fun! The Central Connecticut Woodturners will be on hand to teach participants the basics of woodturning, and everyone will have a chance to make their own wood pen. A variety of wood will be on hand to choose from, including that of NFA’s iconic beech tree that fell in 2012.* This is a family friendly event, but lathe users should be 10+. Pre-registration is preferred, please call (860) 425-5563 to avoid disappointment.

The Central Connecticut Woodturners was founded in 1994 to support the education and skill development of woodturners in the central Connecticut area. Their mission is to promote a higher standard of excellence in woodturning by providing an ever-expanding source of information and resources to members. For more information about the CCW, please visit www.ccwoodturners.org.
