The Audacity of Migration

April 4 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

$10.00

REGISTRATION REQUIRED

$5 FGF and CFPA Members/$10 nonmembers

In the struggle for existence, migration is one of nature’s great events. Birds do it. Whales do it. Even some insects move thousands of miles in spring or fall. Reporting from the frontiers of migration, writer and naturalist Dr. Bryan Pfeiffer will reveal the secrets of migration from the perspective of a bird (blackpoll warbler), a butterfly (monarch) and a dragonfly (wandering glider). With Bryan’s images, stories and humor, you’ll discover what new and innovative research tells us about how animals move to survive.

Dr. Bryan Pfeiffer has been published in NY Times, Aeon Magazine, Orion, Northern Woodlands, and Field & Stream.  He also teaches at University of Vermont and runs insect seminars at Maine’s Eagle Hill Institute. Learn more about him at www.bryanpfeiffer.com
