March 18 “The Timeless Art of Dyllis: Forty Years of Creative Clothing” features apparel — wearable art, really — designed by Connecticut native Dyllis Schlosser Braithwaite. Originally from Hartford, Dyllis attended the University of Connecticut, graduating in 1951. She worked briefly for Finn’s Fabrics in the Chicago area, buying the company a few years later. Her designs are unique, interesting, and fun. Guest curated by Laura Crow of the University of Connecticut, the exhibit will be open from March 18 to May 14, 2017. For folks interested in fashion and fiber arts, this will be a must-see exhibit! #Dyllis #WearableArt #TimelessArtofDyllis For details, contact the Windham Textile and History Museum, 411 Main Street, Willimantic, CT (the Mill Museum) at 860-456-2178, email@example.com, or www.millmuseum.org.
