Tree Identification by Bark

November 25, 2017 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Learn to identify trees without visible leaves. Thanks to Bark: A Field Guide to Trees of the Northeast by Michael Wojtech, identifying trees by their bark is made easy. Join Master Naturalist apprentice Ari Patterson for an introduction to this innovative approach to tree identification.

Ari Patterson is a high school senior and coaches a Connecticut Envirothon team. She has a passion for forestry and soils, and a commitment to sustainability. She will soon enter college to study environmental science and policy.

Programs are free unless otherwise noted. Donations are encouraged.
Pre-registration is not required unless otherwise noted.
