Quinebaug Valley State Trout Hatchery

Quinebaug Valley State Trout Hatchery is one of the largest state hatcheries sits on this 2,000 acres. Starting with the hatch house, different tanks carry trout through their stages of life, supplying 700,000 brookies, browns & rainbows annually to CT’s rivers and streams. View the operation through the glass walls, and take the self-guided tour in the visitor’s center – it is loaded with facts and information. This is truly a unique farm in The Last Green Valley, with a hard working team. Be sure to give them a thumbs-up” when you visit this treasure in our National Heritage Corridor.
