19th Annual Evening with an Author featuring Dr. Marcia Chatelain

June 23 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Our signature fundraising event has been a community favorite since 2004. This year we are excited to share that our celebration is set to come home to 261 Main Street! You’ve never experienced the library quite like this! Join us for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, delicious tasting stations, desserts, extravagant silent auction items, an engaging author address, and a book signing.

Your participation ensures that our community members have access to programs, services, and resources that enrich their lives.

We are proud to announce that this year’s event features the work of

Dr. Marcia Chatelain. Dr. Chatelain won a Pulitzer Prize in History for her book FRANCHISE: The Golden Arches in Black America. The book examines the intricate relationship among African American politicians, civil rights organizations, communities, and the fast food industry.
