8 Week Beginner Pottery Class
July 8, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 6:30 pm on Friday, repeating until August 26, 2022

The class is primarily on the pottery wheel, with one or two handbuilding projects. You’ll start the first week by learning how to “wedge” your clay and “throw” bowls on the pottery wheel. From there, you’ll learn trimming and glazing and then move on, trying other shapes like plates and mugs.Â
You’ll get the chance to make a handbuilt mug or other basic hand building project. You’ll also learn simple decorative techniques, including stamping and under glazing.
This class is for folks aged 18+ who are brand new to clay or who need to get back to basics and want to start at the beginning again.Â
*****We realize that Friday nights in the summer may prove to be difficult for some people with weekends away, and because of our very long list of folks trying to get into classes, we ask that anyone who joins the class doesn’t plan on missing more than one week through the summer. *****
