Acorn Adventures with The Last Green Valley: Every Tree For Itself

Come experience an active game where children grades K-6 can better understand what trees need to live and grow and how trees can compete for their needs. After playing several rounds of this activity we will compare results and discuss how foresters might use their knowledge of competition in caring for a stand of trees. Participants will take home a cross-section of a tree trunk (tree “cookie”) and will make a paper plate tree cookie that represents their own life. Registration Required.
