Bald Eagle Hike – Rescheduled from Last Week
January 22 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am
Join Chief Ranger Bill Reid on a ramble around the Trout Hatchery, one of the sites where the Connecticut Mid-Winter Eagle Survey is conducted. This property is one of the best places to see a bald eagle in the wild, and we have seen them here several years in a row. While on the walk, Bill will update participants on the numbers of eagles nesting in The Last Green Valley and results of the last breeding season. He’ll also share some of the early findings of the Mid-Winter Eagle Survey, occurring Jan. 8. This is a mostly flat terrain, about a one-hour walk on rough surfaces. Please register by calling Bill at 860-774-3300 or emailing Bill@tlgv.org.
