Connecticut’s Historic Gardens
May 18 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

On Thursday, May 18th at 7:30 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church Parish Hall, 7 Providence Road (Route 6), Brooklyn, the Brooklyn Historical Society invites you on a tour of the sixteen distinctive sites, all within Connecticut’s borders, that comprise Connecticut’s Historic Gardens.
Laurie Masciandaro, Site Manager of Historic New England’s Roseland Cottage in Woodstock will present an illustrated lecture introducing us to the history and beauty of these historic sites that have charmed and inspired visitors for a century or more. This is a garden tour that will take us from the Weir Farm National Historic Site in Wilton in the southwest corner of the state to Roseland Cottage in the northeast corner where Laurie tells us she “daily enjoys one of the loveliest Historic Gardens in the northeast.”
The program is free and complimentary refreshments will be served following the presentation.
