“Death and Mourning Practices of Early New England”

On Thursday, November 7th at 7:30 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church Parish Hall, 7 Providence Road (Route 6), Brooklyn, the Brooklyn Historical Society invites you to learn about the early New England traditions surrounding death and mourning. Bev York, Director of Museum Education at the Windham Textile & History Museum will explore the traditions of death and mourning in the illustrated lecture “Death and Mourning Practices of Early New England.” Illustrations will include such items as memorial jewelry, embroideries and portraits.

The program is free and complimentary refreshments will be served following the presentation.
