Earth Hour at Camp Laurel
March 25 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

We’re celebrating Earth Hour! We’ll start with a talk about light pollution before a moonlit trek to understand how our human eyes are well-suited for the night sky. You’ll see the glow of light pollution in the distance and learn how you probably don’t need all those lights on at night after all. After the hike we’ll have a campfire and cocoa and spend some time looking at the constellations. There are some benches around the fire ring, but you’ll want a sit-upon or bring your own chairs. Also, please bring your own travel mug for the cocoa. You can leave them at the campfire before the hike. In case of inclement weather there will be an alternate program indoors. Registration Required. To register please email fran@tlgv.org or call 860-774-3300
