Exhibit Opening: The “Here It Is” Exhibit Opening.

Sat., July 1, 6 – 7:30 p.m. African American artist Justice – Michelle Thomas will be displaying her artwork at The Mill Museum this summer (see above). This event is subject to change, so please check our website and Facebook page. The opening is free and open to the public. She will give an artist’s lecture to pair with her exhibit that will run concurrently with “Here All Along,” the ongoing exhibit that explores the African American experience in northeastern Connecticut from the 1600s to 1910. She creates artwork that explores contemporary and historical Black experiences, often asking hard questions, in her Artpeace studio in Hartford and Brooklyn, NY. She is a professor at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY.
