Historical Storyteller in Preston

November 10 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

The Friends of the Preston Library and the Preston Historical Society will host a Tellabration for families on Sunday, November 10th at 1:00 p.m. at the Long Society Meetinghouse, 45 Long Society Road, Preston. For more information about this free program call 860-887-5828.  Carolyn Stearns will be performing.

Carolyn’s performance will include a family version of the story of the Revolutionary War ship Confederacy, built in Preston on the Thames by Carolyn’s ancestors. To compliment that story she will perform “Black Sheep” – a story of a Revolutionary War uniform. Third in the program will be “The House Women Built,” an empowering tale of fortitude during the Revolutionary War. The final story is titled “Ox Drive” and rounds out the historical performance with a tale of how we honor history today.
