OptOutside Hike: Tri-Town Ridgeline Forest Preserve

You can almost imagine you’ve stepped back in time a few thousand years as you hike the Tri-Town Ridgeline Forest Preserve. Glacial erratics, towering trees, lichen and mosses intermingle with the ridgelines and stone walls, and the forest is alive all around you, even in November. This moderate, 2.5 mile hike features stunning sights and a little more than 300 feet in elevation. We will take the easier, yellow loop, to enjoy a couple of hours away from the hubbub of the holiday season.
