Poets at Large

The first of this special fall series of spoken word and poetry readings from the Poets at Large group. Poets at Large is a regional group of poets who read in Connecticut and Massachusetts and are now in their fourth year. The group’s coordinator Karen Warinsky will MC the events. This month’s featured poets are Worcester funny man Joseph Fusco, Jr., and former Poet Laureate of West Haven, CT, Tony Fusco. Though the two are not related, their work has a similar mix of humorous tales along with more poignant pieces. Joe Fusco runs various open mics in the Worcester area and is a columnist for Worcester Magazine. Tony Fusco has won several awards including The Sunken Garden Prize and has a long list of publications, his most recent being Lost in the Brain Fog.
