Gateway Players Theatre of Southbridge presents the Youth production of  “Schoolhouse Rock Live!, Jr”.  Lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, Bob Dorough, Dave Frishberg, Kathy Mandry, George Newall, and Tom Yohe.  Music by Bob Dorough, Dave Frishberg, Kathy Mandry, George Newall, and Tom Yohe.  Book by Lynn Ahrens, Scott Ferguson, Kyle Hall, and George Keating.

Performance dates are May 13, 14, 20, & 21 at 7:30pm and May 22 at 2pm. All performances will be held at the Fellowship Hall of Elm Street Congregational Church, 61 Elm Street in Southbridge. Parking is available on Elm Street, or in the parking deck behind the Southbridge Town Hall.  Doors open one half hour prior to the performance time.

This production will be directed by Bill Guy, and produced by Lou-Ellen Corkum. Tickets are $15 for adults and $13 for seniors and youth under 18. Tickets may be reserved by calling Gateway at 508-764-4531. Online credit card ticket sales will be available soon at www.brownpapertickets.com.  Presented by permission through special arrangement with Music Theatre International.

This Youth production is based on the Emmy Award-winning 1970s educational animated TV series, Schoolhouse uses the familiar songs from the cartoons to teach grammar, math, science, history, social studies and political science while telling the story of Tom, a young teacher nervously anticipating his first day on the job.
