An event every month that begins at 5:30 pm on day Third of the month, repeating until November 16, 2022

Otis Library, in partnership with the Friends of Slater Memorial Museum, will be hosting a book discussion series beginning this month. The discussions will take place in the Otis Library Community Room on the third Wednesday in August, September, October, and November, from 5:30pm – 7pm. The selection of books is as follows:

The Return of the Pharaoh, From the Reminiscences of John H. Watson, MD by Nicholas Meyer on August 17.

Brunelleschi’s Dome: How a Renaissance Genius Reinvented Architecture by Ross King on September 21.

The Last Painting of Sara de Vos by Dominic Smith on October 19.

The Improbability of Love by Hannah Rothschild on November 16.

In addition to the discussion, each meeting will include a guest speaker who will shed light on details of history or art that are explored in the book.

Copies of The Return of the Pharaoh, From the Reminiscences of John H. Watson, MD are available to borrow at the Library’s Front Desk.
