Visiting Our National Parks: Lessons Learned with John Bunker
July 12 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Live on Zoom. Tuesday, July 12, 6pm
Interested in visiting our National Parks and don’t know where to go? Join a virtual discussion with John Bunker for tips and tricks while visiting the parks.
John Bunker resides in Stratham, NH and has visited 25 National Parks during the past two decades. While serving as the Associate Dean, UNH College of Health and Human Services, he developed a presentation for an undergraduate class on his adventures and misadventures to some of his favorite parks: Badlands, Bryce, Canyonlands, Glacier, Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, and Zion.
His presentation includes a handout of his Ten Lessons Learned, a YouTube video of hiking Angel’s Landing in Zion National Park, and over 70 images of his travels to the parks. The presentation covers a broad range of issues related to visiting our National Parks: lodging and dining, budget considerations, logistics and planning activities, and safety.
This presentation will be held over Zoom and registration is required. You will receive the Zoom link prior to the program. This program is co-sponsored by Mystic & Noank Library, Ledyard Public Library, New London Library and Stonington Free Library.
