Workshop on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA

The Norwich Commission for Persons with Disabilities will present two programs in support of Disabilities Awareness Week in Norwich, October 10 – 15, 2022.
There will be a workshop on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) on Wednesday, October 12, 1:30pm – 3:00pm, in the Otis Library Community Room. Elanah Sherman, a longtime ADA advocate/educator, will present this in-person program. The workshop will cover the first three Titles of the ADA, with some attention to how the ADA and the Connecticut State Building Code are the same and different. Attendees will be provided with a foundation for understanding how the ADA is structured and may be applied. There will be time for Q&A following the program. Disabilities Awareness Week is sponsored by the Norwich Commission for Persons with Disabilities with essential support from the City of Norwich Office of the Mayor and Otis Library.
