A Visit to the Miniature Forest

Gain insights into the mosses of Northeastern Connecticut with Dr. Bernard Goffinet of the University of Connecticut’s Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology. Hosted by the CT State Museum of Natural History, to compliment the formal opening of the exhibit “Right Below Your Feet,” in the Wilbur Cross Building at UConn, Storrs. The hike is in a 165-acre parcel known as the HEEP, which consists of uplands, meadows, woodlands, wetlands (including vernal pools) and riparian zones around Cedar Swamp Brook.
