Jackalope Habitat Hike

 4/01/2022 @ 10:00 am

Join Chief Ranger Bill Reid for a hike at Old Furnace State Park in Danielson as he continues his search the elusive Jackalope. A mythical animal of North America folklore, it is in the category of fearsome critters and is described as a jackrabbit with antelope horns. Old Furnace State Park includes the type of forested habitat that similar animals, such as the Easter Bunny, have been known to occupy, and we hope to finally catch a glimpse of the mysterious Jackalope. This is a moderately difficult hike of 2.6 miles with some elevation to the top of Ross Cliffs also known as Half Hill. Space is limited for this unique expedition and RSVP is required.
