Out of the Shadows Part I: The Lost Cillage of Voice, A new Narrative

This historical tour and workshop examines the origins of some of the folkloric mythology and current historical research about the 18th and 19th century inhabitants including enslaved Africans and Native Americans who lived in the Mashamoquet Uplands of Nightingale Woods, now owned by Wyndham Land Trust. It will begin with a slideshow about the origins of the folklore, Jonathan Randall’s enslaved Africans and current research by historian/writer, Donna Dufresne. After the presentation (1 hour) there will be a guided tour (2 hours) of the historic sites in Nightingale Woods led by Donna Dufresne.
