Sunrise Hike & Walktober Kick Off – POSTPONED TO 10/1

Due to the expected wind gusts and soft ground we are postponing this hike. Join us to kick-off October!

 

Join Chief Ranger Bill Reid for a sunrise hike at Old Furnace State Park. We step off at 5:30 am and hike to the summit of Half Hill (also known as Ross Cliffs) that affords an exceptional view to the east. We’ll arrive at the summit just before the 6:30 am sunrise, and celebrate the first day of Walktober 2023. From there we’ll hike down the hill and follow the loop trail back to the main parking lot. This is a moderate hike, approx. 3 miles with some elevation approaching and descending the top of Half Hill. Registration is required by emailing bill@tlgv.org. Space is limited. Rain cancels.
