The Florence Griswold Museum in Old Lyme, CT presents A Sea Faerie Civilization on the grounds of its 12-acre campus. Visitors follow a map to explore over two dozen miniature sea faerie-themed wonders handcrafted by artists and faerie-aficionados. Think of it as a tiny fashionable shoreside community where sea faeries live, work and play. From shell-encrusted houses and coffee shops to kelp-covered schools, theaters and sport arenas, it is truly an enchanted underwater wonderland.⁠ This annual event, along with a roster of special programs runs from Sept. 30 – Oct. 29, Tues. – Sun., 10 am – 5 pm (closed Mondays, except for Oct. 9). Visitors may purchase tickets for museum admission onsite on the day of their visit. Special pricing for museum admission applies during these dates; children 12 and under are free.
