Habitat Building Workday in Southbridge

Join us for a habitat building workday at Opacum Land Trust’s Morneau Farm in Southbridge on Saturday, April 20th @ 9 AM!
Morneau Farm is 120 acres of forest and farmland donated by Maurice Morneau to Opacum Land Trust in 2008. There is a tenant using the agricultural buildings and farm fields so the land is not open to the public, except for special events like this. This is a great opportunity to see this beautiful part of Southbridge and to help Opacum improve forest health and increase diverse wildlife habitat.
Our primary objective for the workday will be to build habitat brush piles for wildlife. Please dress accordingly, including work gloves and sturdy shoes, and be prepared for ticks. If you have clippers and hand saws, those would be helpful too.
