LARGE SCALE GARDEN SCULPTURES with Visiting Artist Larry Elardo
May 7 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
An event every day that begins at 10:00 am, repeating until May 7, 2023
We are thrilled to welcome back internationally known artist, Larry Elardo, for his equally fun and challenging Large Scale Garden Sculpture workshop!
Using clay elements to create pieces that will live outdoors can be a daunting project to tackle. Larry will go over all the details he takes into consideration as he designs pieces that will live outdoors. He’ll explain how he makes the best choices for the survival of clay pieces in the harsh New England weather and how to “get larger” than your kiln’s limitations.
This will be a weekend jam-packed with knowledge and hands on application. You’ll learn Larry’s techniques and put them to the test as you work on your own garden sculpture (or bell, or bench, or arch, or…..). You may not finish your sculpture during the weekend if you choose to take on an especially large or complicated project, but you can finish it on your own, and you’ll certainly walk away with lots of tips on handling large slabs and extruded clay components and surface coloration!
$225 does not include firing fees.
Firing fees will be half price
To Register: Call 860-963-7807 or Drop in: 112 Main St. #14 Putnam, CT
