Forest in Bloom: Identifying, Collecting, and Pressing Flowers from Trees

Learn to identify, collect, and press flower specimens from blooming trees with Dr. Sarah Taylor! Dr. Taylor will lead a hike through “the HEEP” in search of flowering trees and spring ephemerals, introducing participants to best practices for creating herbarium specimens and the diversity of flowering plants in local forests. In case of extreme weather, event will take place indoors as a collection-based workshop with pre-collected specimens. $10/Museum Members; $15/ non-Members. Hosted by Connecticut State Museum of Natural History.
