October Artist Meet & Greet

The Jacob Edwards Library is pleased to present a meet and greet with October artist Megan Garlie.

From the artist:  “I am a self-taught artist who works primarily with oil and acrylic paints, though I recently began my journey in wildlife photography as well. Originally from Canada, I moved to Southbridge as a child and grew up here. I began painting during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020 while stuck in my apartment during grad school, and in the last four years have spent a lot of time working on learning with each piece of art I create. I am often drawn towards nature and landscapes when painting, as you will see in the collection of works on display. I have shown pieces in the 2023 and 2024 Jacob Edwards Library Women’s Month art shows and in the 2024 Harvard Staff art show. This is my first solo exhibition.”
