Social Justice Books Discussions for Teens and Adults

Otis Library will host two social justice-themed book discussions facilitated by Chevelle Moss-Savage, founder of “Helping Everyone Accept and Adapt to Life” (H.E.A.L.). A free lunch and book will be provided. Discussions will take place in the Meeting Room.

On Wednesday, July 10, at 12 PM, we will discuss Legacy: A Black Physician Reckons with Racism in Medicine by Uché Blackstock for adults.

On Wednesday, August 7, at 12 PM, Otis Library Teen Librarian Kait Moseley will join Chevelle for a discussion of What’s the T? The Guide to All Things Trans and/or Non-Binary by Juno Dawson. This discussion is for teens (ages 16+) and adults.

Free programs; registration is required for each discussion. Upon registration, patrons may pick up a free copy of the book at the library’s Front Desk.
