Sturgeon Moon Night Hike

Join Naturalist Adam Drouin for a moderate night-hike around Black Spruce Pond, the night before August’s full moon. August’s full moon is also known as the sturgeon moon, named so for abundant fishing of lake sturgeon in summer. The hike will be less than 2 miles and will follow close to the pond for the most part. There are some minor hills, with a few rocky sections to navigate, so proper footwear, and a source of light are recommended.
