The Slater family dominated the industrial landscape of Norwich, Connecticut. As the city’s socio-economic classes shifted throughout the 19th century, the Slaters were responsible for employing and shaping the lives of thousands of individuals and families. Learn more about how the Slaters and the Industrial Revolution impacted communities in Norwich and how it intersected with the dawn of the Civil Rights era. Presented by Dayne Rugh, Director of Slater Memorial Museum.
