TLGV Adventure: #OptOutside Hike

It’s time to #OptOutside! Stretch your legs, work off that Thanksgiving meal and help us give thanks for the amazing trails we have here in The Last Green Valley National Heritage Corridor! Chief Ranger Bill Reid will lead us on a a hike through Joshua’s Trust’s Church Farm Preserve in Ashford. This is an exceptional property with a 2.5-mile loop trail through beautiful hardwood forest. There is about 430 ft. of elevation on the property and the trail has both ascents and descents. This is a moderate to difficult hike. Church Farm is owned and operated by the Eastern Connecticut State University Foundation for use by faculty and students studying natural resources. Church Farm is 1.8 miles south on Rt. 89 from the Rt. 44 intersection in Ashford, or 5.7 miles north from the intersection of Rt. 195 and Warrenville Rd. (Rt. 89) in Mansfield.
