Visit a maturing forest and cross an interesting landscape with rich history as we travel through Pachaug State Forest on the way to the CT/RI border marker. Led by TLGV Ranger Kyle Gregoire, highlights include a discussion of the changing forest canopy, King Philip’s War, the legacy of the Civilian Conservation Corps and spying the Dinosaur Caves. It is a 4-mile round trip hike with a few steeper ups and downs; rain or shine (only thunder/lightning cancels). Registration not required but appreciated. Sponsored by TLGV Ranger Kyle Gregoire.
