Visit an interesting landscape with rich history as we have fun traveling through Pachaug State Forest around Green Fall Pond. Highlights include leaf peeping, a jaunt out to the remains of Peg Mill, the legacy of the Civilian Conservation Corps in the forest, the falls at Green Fall Pond, nature games and more. It is a 3-mile round trip hike, that is moderately difficult with rocks and roots; rain or shine (only thunder/lightning cancels). Meet at the parking near the Green Fall Pond state forest swimming area. Registration not required but helpful. Only thunder and lightning cancels.
