DUE TO A BRUSH FIRE IN THE AREA THIS HIKE HAS BEEN CANCELED.
Franklin’s hills & valleys are home to many tales, and Bailey’s Ravine has long been a place of intrigue and enchantment. Could it be the beckoning apparitions or the allure of a mystical nymph? Yet, the area holds dark and – devilish – stories too. Join author & professional folklorist Stephen Gencarella with Franklin native & TLGV Ranger Nick Velles on a hike through the woods while you are treated to tales of historic happenings and local lore. This 1.5 mile hike is made moderately difficult by wet rocks and some steep climbs. Registration is required to nvelles@yahoo.com or 860-823-7779 and space is limited. Sponsored by The Last Green Valley & TLGV Member Steve Gencarella, thelastgreenvalley.org
