Join Opacum director Al Smith for this guided hike, exploring the geology, history, and springtime landscape, featuring the vernal pools of Opacum Woods, as they come alive with seasonal magic. Learn about the special role that vernal pools played in the history of Opacum Land Trust and the role that vernal pools play in the local ecosystem. The walk will cover 1.5-2 miles of mostly easy terrain with a couple of moderate sections. Families with children are welcome. The program is free, but RSVP is required, space is limited. Hosted by Opacum Land Trust.
