Come visit the Ashbel Woodward Museum and see the Franklin Historical Society’s new exhibit, Rebel Yankeys: Franklin and the American Revolution. The exhibit explores the powerful story of two Revolutionary War soldiers from Franklin–Lebbeus Quy and Jacob Kingsbury–and the very different lives they led. Their stories open a window into the social and racial dynamics of 18th-century Franklin, brought to life through voices and artifacts from the era. The exhibit features an original 1776 copy of Thomas Paine’s Common Sense. This exhibit was made possible with generous support from Connecticut ConneCTions, Connecticut Humanities, and The Last Green Valley.
