Join the experts from Pewter Pot Chocolates, LLC. for a fascinating journey through the history of chocolate, tracing its origins from the New World to the royal courts of Spain before returning to colonial Connecticut. Learn how Norwich merchant Christopher Leffingwell helped bring this beloved luxury to the region and explore the role chocolate played in early American life. Visitors will have the opportunity to sample several historic chocolate recipes and experience the rich flavors enjoyed centuries ago. Families can explore special exhibits throughout the museum highlighting the history of chocolate in Norwich and beyond. The fun continues outdoors with the popular Business Scarecrow Hunt in the museum garden. Search for creatively designed scarecrows, solve clues, and compete for prizes.
