Join Lead Night Sky Rangers Kim and Geoff McLean this evening for a 1/3 lit Moon while we examine Craters, Mountain ranges, “Oceans and Seas”, amongst other objects on the Moon during the early part of the evening, before the “Cold Hearted Orb” sets. We’ll take a look at Saturn and it’s glorious rings, Neptune, and maybe even Pluto. After this we’ll look for some deep sky objects — using both the Seestar telescope and then viewing the same objects through the big telescope visually. Among the objects will be the Andromeda Galaxy (our closest neighbor), perhaps the Skull Nebula, Heart Nebula, and North American Nebula, as well as the Owl Cluster. Dress warm and bring something to sit upon as the grass is likely to be wet.
