Join TLGV Lead Night Sky Ranger and NASA Solar System Ambassador Geoff McLean and his fellow Lead Night Sky Ranger Kim McLean as we explore the night sky. Saturn and Neptune will join the gibbous moon as the stars of viewing tonight. Saturn’s rings will appear to almost slice through the planet as they are very close to edge on. The gibbous moon gives us an opportunity to explore the moon’s craters. We’ll also view the constellations, deep sky objects and talk all things astronomy. Dress warmly, bring comfortable seating and a mug of hot beverage to enjoy. Events only happen if the cloud gods cooperate. Be sure to check the website before heading out to verify the event is still happening. If you have a telescope but are unsure how to set it up or use, you are welcome to bring it. Ranger Geoff will be happy to assist if there is time. Sponsored by McLean Research Associates & The Last Green Valley, mcleanresearch.com, thelastgreenvalley.org
