Talk in the restored Brooklyn Meeting House (1771) on the background and ceremony in 1871 that made Celia Burleigh, — a writer, public speaker, and activist — the first female Unitarian minister. Social activists Julia Ward Howe and Phebe Hanaford were among the participants. The famous preacher Henry Ward Beecher sent a letter of encouragement from NY.
