Join Hull Forest Products forest tech Nick Mangiamele for a guided two-mile walk at the Breakneck Forest, a family-owned woodland formally managed for recreation, wildlife and forest products for more than 40 years. Participants will learn about forest management practices at this working landscape and observe several different forest types, as well as evidence of colonial settlement, early 20th century portable sawmill settings, and other historic features. Participants will also learn how timber stand improvement work in this forest yields a sustainable supply of timber for the local and global bioeconomy. Moderate terrain. Family friendly.
