TLGV Member Program – Bald Eagles in The Last Green Valley on Jan. 19
Join Chief Ranger Bill Reid, 9:30 a.m. to noon, Jan. 19 at TLGV offices, 203B Main Street, Danielson, CT.
Geared to adults, this two-part program will begin at the conference room of The Last Green Valley office in Danielson with a power point presentation on bald eagles in the region by Chief Ranger Bill Reid. Ranger Bill will provide updated information on numbers of eagles nesting in Connecticut and results of the 2018 breeding season as well as information and results from the Jan. 12 Midwinter Eagle Survey, a Connecticut program for which The Last Green Valley helps coordinate volunteers.
Following the presentation, participants are invited to drive to the Quinebaug Valley Trout Hatchery with Ranger Bill in hopes of seeing bald eagles. This is a spot where eagles are regularly seen. The program is free to TLGV members and $10 for non-members.
