What lurks in the not-so-deep waters of your local stream? Critters that can tell you all about the health of the stream.

Grab your wading boots and prepare to get wet with Ranger Jean Pillo as we explore Mashamoquet Brook for the critters that tell us just how healthy our streams are. Kids and their parents will learn about the Water Quality Monitoring work TLGV’s volunteers do and get in the stream to try it themselves.

Once we’ve gathered some samples we’ll do a little detective work to figure out what we’ve found. The water will likely be cold and waterproof boots are recommended. Meet at the TLGV sign after you pass the parking area for the swimming pond.
