Acorn Adventure – Pixie Village Hike

Join Chief Ranger Bill Reid at 10 a.m., Aug. 25, Natchaug State Forest Parking Area on Iron Mine Lane, off Route 89 in Ashford on a half-mile hike into Pixie Falls, an enchanting area where the Pixie’s have a village and we can help them by building new homes for them with the twigs, leaves, moss and more that we find in the area. Truly, one of the splendid spots in The Last Green Valley National Heritage Corridor, this hike is suitable for little legs who can make it a half-mile into the falls and then back out. The trail is not stroller friendly. Call Fran at 860-774-3300 for more information or email fran@tlgv.org. Acorn Adventures are sponsored by Putnam Bank.
