Acorn Adventure – Underwater Exploration – May 18

Join TLGV for the next Acorn Adventure – Underwater Exploration: 1 -2:30 pm, May 18, 276 Mashamoquet Road, Pomfret, CT 06259. What lives under the water in a stream? Explore Mashamoquet Brook with a professional biologist looking for the critters who live there. Ranger Jean has been teaching our water quality monitoring volunteers how some of the bugs that live in our healthy streams help us to understand a lot about the water quality in them. She is inviting all our Acorn adventurers to help her with a stream assessment by catching and examining the squigglies living in the brook. Become a water quality detective for a day. Wear waterproof boots if you want to help collect the bugs. Follow the Acorn Adventure signs after you pass the parking area for the swimming pond.
